Is Sprint not Working for me?

So I finally purchased this game (shoutout Civvie11) and am having a great time with it, but I am curious. My dash (sprint?) key doesn't seem to do anything. I move at the same speed all the time whether I'm holding it or not, whether I'm trying to bunny hop or not. Been experimenting with it but it just doesn't seem to do anything.

Does dash not work how I'm expecting to or what's going on here?
