Its my birthday in a week and I really want to kill myself

I hate my birthday. I pretend I love it infront of others and always have over the top celebrations the entire month, but I hate it so much. I dont want to live another year. I dont know whether I have the strength to go through this. I thought I'll be dead by 18 and now Im 26 and I feel like a failure.
