Qualify via grandparents?
First, I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times before. I did a quick look through and couldn't find anything exactly like our situation. Second, thank you for any help given.
Like so many Americans my husband (36m) and I (29f) are looking to move to Canada. We aren't skilled workers. I have my BA in psychology and am currently in school for my Masters, I work in a financial aid office at a university. He is currently in school for his BA in education but doesn't work as he's homeschooling our 2 kids (9 and 8).
His grandmother was born and raised in Canada. She had 4 out of her 9 kids in Canada, my mother in law was the first one born in the states. He still has one living aunt and some cousins in Canada. Grandmother passed away in 2022, and he is no contact with his mother. Is there any hope of gaining citizenship due to his grandmother being Canadian? She moved the family to Maine/New Hampshire in the 1960s.
TLDR: Canadian grandmother who moved to the US before having his mother, can he qualify for citizenship?
