4th of July fireworks in Yonkers totally out of control

This isn't a "get off my lawn" post. The fireworks started going off at 3 in the afternoon and still going off at 12 midnight. My dog - an 80-pound Irish Wolfhound - was completely freaked out by 5 PM so I got us in the car and drove up to Croton, where we walked and did stuff just to get away from the noise. When I got back at about 8 the whole neighborhood north, south, east and west was completely out of control with fireworks, M-80s, bottle rockets and such.

When a person cannot live in the home they paid for and pay taxes on because people in the neighborhood refuse to recognize they are infringing on the right of people to live in peace and quiet, it's time to ban the damned things.

I love fireworks and if they confined them to, say, 8 PM to 10 PM, that would be fine. But these knuckleheads start at 3 PM and the next day at 6 AM, boom, a couple went off.

That ain't right!
