New system has primary drain clogged twice

AC

I got a new system (outside ac, furnace and blower) installed and since then the primary drain has clogged twice (allegedly from the hvac tech) causing the power to be shut off and being an inconvenience. The first time it clogged was a week after install and the second time was three weeks after the first clogged. Both times the techs used compressed air to blow the clog and “fix” the issue. I asked them why this is happening since it’s a new system and the old system never clogged. They just said the new system condenses more and causes more water to build up. The second guy also mentioned like some algae could build up in the drain and cause the issue. He then tried to sell me some pump to get rid of the water and something else to flush cleaning solution to prevent the algae build up.

Personally I find it crazy that this is happening after a new system was installed. I feel like they either didn’t install something correctly or when they removed the old one and installed the new one some debris went down the drain line leading to these issue.

If anyone with more knowledge can help me. Is this normal? If it happens again should I press for them to do one of the suggested fixes for free since this didn’t happen before? Or are the fixes just patching up a bad install and the issue is something else.

Thanks in advance.
