Query about North Bangalore travel itinerary

First time in Bangalore, need suggestions and tips!

Hi everyone!

I’m planning my first trip to Bangalore (super excited but also a bit nervous). I’ll be staying for a few days for work, mostly around the northern part of the city. I’m arriving at Majestic around 9 AM on a weekday and will be heading back home around 10 PM from near Hebbal over the weekend.

I’ve heard a lot about Bangalore’s traffic, so I’d really appreciate any tips to mentally prep myself, like things to watch out for, areas/times to avoid, or anything else worth knowing, especially since I don’t know Kannada at all.

In my free time, I’d love to explore places around Malleshwaram and nearby. I enjoy chill cafés, local food spots, and would love to check out a nice bookstore too.

So, if you have suggestions for:

Must-try local foods or places that serve them

Cute cafés (especially those good for solo visitors)

Bookstores or interesting local shops
