What comes next?

I have been wondering,the original goal of blue lock was to create the best striker,at the end,one would come out victorious and the other 299 would leave, never to be allowed to play on Japan's national team,if I am correct.

Is that even viable anymore?

The blue Lock vs u20 Japan match clearly wasn't part of the plan and had subsequently removed others. Because now there are characters in blue lock that aren't,and aren't interested in being, strikers like aiku and fukaku.

Furthermore,alot of the 300 initial strikers don't even play as strikers anymore,or are visible better suited for other positions. Like Niko,aryu and raichi seem to enjoy and are plain better at being defenders,and have been that way for some time. Gagamaru seems to have been cemented as the u20 goalkeeper and he's phenomenal at it. Kurona and hiori who are playing as midfielders,and kurona especially doesn't seem to have any interest in scoring himself.

I am sure all of them could still play as strikers,and good ones at that. But a good chunk of the remaining players have found other positions to play that suit them better.

And hell, assuming that isagi is the number one striking at the end of the project(considering he's our MC) are they really going to tell people like rin,shidou,barou,bachira, Chigiri or karasu to pack it up and go home??

What about aiku and gagamaru who are undoubtedly the best defender and goal keeper Japan has to offer at the moment??

I am wondering if making the number 1 striker is really the goal,or if it has shifted into making the number 1 team ?
