Mounting U7 Pro Wall *towards* a wall?

Question

Heya,

I've recently created another thread where I was asking whether I should take the U7 Pro or U7 Pro Wall for my use case (supplying my whole ~900 sqf apartment with WiFi).

By now I've managed to make the design tool work for me and sketched down a rough floor plan. And I'm now wondering if I can do something unorthodox: Mounting the U7 Pro Wall in such a way that it faces *towards* the wall, not away from it.

My problem is that my mounting location is fixed: Below knee height in the main hall of my apartment (there's a little wooden cabinet which will also contain my gateway).

If I mount it facing away from the wall then all the rooms *behind* it are getting poorer signal. However, if I mount it *facing* the wall, then the only spot of my apartment which gets subpar reception is the kitchen area (red area in the room to the right). Where I don't care about WiFi.

I've tried to simulate this mounting in the design tool by putting a glass wall right in front of the wall where I'd actually put it and then put on there, facing the wall:

Any thoughts regarding this? :)
