Itching after wearing menstrual pads

I recently had my period, and wore some period pads I bought from the grocery store, the day after I woke up with insaaaaane itching in my vulva. It’s been two days now and it hasn’t gone away. Could this be related to the pads ( they weren’t the best quality tbh). Has anyone here had some allergic reaction to period pads/tampons ?
