Platoon chat is insufferable

I used to play almost exclusively on vanilla servers before the 1.3 update that introduced mortars. Even back then, platoon chat was already pretty bad.

After taking a long break, I came back about a week ago and started playing on WCS servers (EU). I don't know if it's just me, but platoon chat seems to have gotten so much worse. People use it for everything, talking to others nearby, discussing food, random nonsense, you name it.

The other day, there was a Russian player who was being extremely toxic toward his teammates, and for some reason, 64 players had to endure his awful behavior. One person tried kicking him, but these days it feels almost impossible to kick anyone, even for teamkilling.

I'm writing this because I just saw another post saying you shouldn't drop your radio. Normally, I'd agree with that, if the average Arma Reforger player weren’t basically a monkey.
