Are things better now than 12 months ago?

I used to have a Sonos Playbar and Play 1 in our kitchen and sold them about 12 months ago as we were moving into an AirBnB for 8 months until our new house is built. We often had issues with sound stopping, laggy app and updates not working.

In the past 12 months, has the app and system improved? I am debating going for a Sonos Beam + Sub Gen 4 in the living room and Era 300 for kitchen OR Sennheiser Ambeo Plus + SVS SB-1000 and a Naim Mu-So QB for the kitchen?

Advice and imput would be welcome :D
