Osprey dive bombed my top water lure.

I luckily instantly saw what was about to happen and was able to rip the lure towards me. Sent me down a rabbit hole to as what I would’ve done if I had hooked the fish eating badass bird. Do I real him in like a fish throw something over his head and try to use my pliers to remove the hook? Do i cut the line ? Do I call some wildlife person? Tell me your bird catching stories I know this has happened to some poor soul just trying to catch a bass while the sun is going down on dead quiet placid water.
