Cheat Code to beating Hide and Seek ?

OK this may be a stupid question because I haven't seen anyone bring it up yet, but if you're a particularly strong hider like hyun-ju, and you kill off a seeker, can't you just steal their knife and pinnie? I'm assuming the roles were cemented before they entered the maze, so it shouldn't change anything. And now you can safely walk around as long because of the whole seekers cant kill seekers rule. Hyun-ju had killed around 3 seekers too I think, so it'd would have been enough for the whole group.
