My game is running horribly, and I have no idea why.

So I have played this game for about 200 hours and just now it has been running horrid. Only while actually playing too. In the main menu and in cutscenes it runs fine but the second I have control of my character it starts being horrible. No idea why and how to fix it. Please help.
