self drying bath mat

I keep having water pile up on my bathroom floor. I really want to set up some kind of pump system that sucks water off the floor and into a drain. I can’t find anything like this on the market is that because its too hard or impractical for some reason im missing. My basic idea is to use water barrier to keep water near the shower then use an arduino and a pump mechanism to suck up any water that is more than 1mm from the ground. Will this be possible or work?
