Side Diff Dishsoap Vod

I was watching a dishsoap vod where he lost a round and he attributed it to being on the wrong side.

In the clip(https://clips.twitch.tv/create/AmericanVastChimpanzeeCclamChamp-GNYupVf-wTAjHBC9) the enemy Vayne gets on his Jhin and kills him. I am guessing he could have switch the Kog and the Jhin making it so the Jhin would have lived longer. With that said, wouldn't his positioning also be better if his frontline lasted longer and he was able to get to Vayne first?

I guess maybe he just know that his backline is stronger than this persons frontline, but this persons frontline is stronger, so he would bet on Jhin winning the 1v1 vs vayne.
