Dream about her
I've just woken up. It's one of those Sundays when I feel so low that I'd rather sleep the whole day. I dreamed about her again.
In the dream, we were working together, just like we used to. Everything felt so familiar, so natural. But suddenly, I noticed something was off — a bottle was out of place. Why was it there? Before I could make sense of it, she started talking. She was laughing, just like always, and told me there were things she had wanted to say.
I answered jokingly, the way we always did — our language, our rhythm.
Then she said: “I know we were supposed to talk, to fix things between us… but the truth is, when I weighed it all, I just couldn’t leave my life behind to stay with you. So I decided to end it.”
In that moment, I became aware. I knew it wasn’t really her. She would never say that. It was just my mind — trying to give me some kind of comfort.
That realization broke me.
The dream started to tremble, dissolve. I began to cry — both in the dream and in the bed where I lay. Through the tears, I said: “I know you’re not real… but can I give you one last kiss before I wake up?”
She looked at me with those beautiful eyes I can’t erase from my mind, and softly said: “Yes.”
Then I woke up — not even feeling the warmth of her lips, not even the illusion of her presence. But something lingered. Even if it was fake, I realized that maybe all I needed was to hear those words — to ease my heart, to quiet my mind, just a little
