Why did God give us sexual thoughts?

I genuinely can't figure this one out. I'm a 19 year old guy and I just absolutely hate this part of myself. I know its normal but why did God give us sexual thoughts? They don't give anything meaningful to think of and if you are single, and especially a teenager, its a living nightmare.

So I wonder, what is everyone's thoughts on this?
