GIA and Bed and ISA capital gains tax rules
Trying to understand capital gains tax and bed and breakfasting rules - is my understanding of the below correct?
I could invest 10k in a GIA now, let's say in a VWRL. I could then sell the entirety of it on 1/4/26, and assuming the gains are less than 3k, no capital gains tax is required. I could then put the proceeds in my ISA. I can't reinvest another 10k in VWRL for 30 days, but I could invest it in HSBC FTSE all-world, tracking the same thing, on 1/4/26 without issue.
