Two Unanswered Questions in SOTM

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I haven't seen any content creators even mention these details, so I was thinking maybe people haven't thought about it. This isn't necessarily a theory, just some things that haven't seen anybody paying attention to.

1. Who's hiding in the closet in David's room?

The imagery of somebody hiding int he closet in David's room appears to be very deliberate. We see it in moon.exe, and we also see it in the David ending where the mimic is hiding in the closet. Obviously, the mimic would need to see somebody else do this to pick up on this behavior. So who would the mimic be mimicing this behavior from? The most obvious answer would be David, but then that raises the question as to why David would be hiding in the closet. And we would also have to consider that when the mimic is fixed, it becomes the size of a child, so if we are to assume that this is a consistent theme, then it cannot be David that the mimic is mimicing in the closet, since it was still full sized at that time. So then who is hiding in David's closet? I genuinely don't know, and I'd love to hear some ideas.

2. Is the Mimic in David's room really M2?

It struck me as odd that after taking the secret passage to David's room, the mimic was already in there hiding in the closet. It could just be an arbitrary game design thing, but realistically it doesn't make sense that we just got done avoiding the mimic in the previous room only for it to show up in David's closet, especially since the mimic in the closet was clearly powered off until the white tiger plush is placed on the pedestal. Is it possible that this is a different mimic? A M3 that was created to mimic David? This might also make some sense if there was in fact somebody hiding in David's closet, because it would explain why that mimic has mannerisms of both David and this mysterious closet stalker. I think we should entertain the idea that there are 3 mimic endos and that the one in David's room may have been made by M2, who is mimicing Edwin, at the request of M1 Fiona.
