Kindle worth in 2025 for a non US person?

I recently ordered a kobo clara bw and i love it so much. Only thing is that it had an uneven screen which made the screen kind of splotchy... So i returned it and saw that this is a common thing for Kobos. I could order a new one and get a perfect one or a worse one...

On the other hand, i saw that the Kindles have the best screens on the market and they don't have as much of a problem like that as Kobos.

All of my books are sideloaded, so I really don't care about Kindle Unlimited or restricted access to Libby as i don't use those services. I really just want a device with the best screen.

What is your experience with those devices in term or hardware only?

Thank you!
