Anvil Siege Force, my new army?

I'm considering to start a new army. I already collect Tyranids and a bit of Necrons. My new army should play different than the ones I have. I never use transports in my games so that made me think starting a mechanised space marine army. Tanks and armoured transports with infantry support.

The idea is to begin with a 1000 point army and when that's finished expanding it to 2000
