Mimic possessed with David's agony?

You guys think that when David died, the mimic got possessed by David's agony? This is based on CG5's song imitation where M2 is about to kill Edwin, but we see David's hand touch M2's hand and he holds back. Now, I know this is just a music video and in no way canon, but I wonder if David possessed M2 but due to M2's programming, the AI overrides David's soul
