Camera Advice for a Graduation Present

Mom looking for help from this community. My son with high functioning autism finally graduated with a degree in film studies, with some film production coursework. It seems like he is pretty good at this and has some potential (finding a career path is a different post ;-)).

We would like to buy him a good camera to continue making short videos and developing his skills in this craft. At school, I know he was able to check out C100's and C200's. He has also used his iPhone 16pro and a DJI. Have been "chatting" with ChatGPT, and it is leading me towards a Panasonic LUMIX GH7. It also suggests a Blackmagic Pocket 6K G2, but points out negatives with it.
