Protean Powers Combo

Hello, my current character is a Setite. He has Protean 2) Feral Weapons [In Fangs variant] and is anout to get Protan 3) Shapechange [In an Alligator]. The power states that you can use other protean powera whike in animal form, however the benefit of Feral Fangs is that you don't have to grapple before bite, nor suffer the penalty shot (wich seems already included in the alligator starter pack). As a ST what would you do in this cases?
