Is chest pain while in hot weather a serious issue?

This problem has started pretty recently. I was outside in temperatures of at least 90 degrees Fahrenheit and I began to experience chest pain and bit of shortness of breath around the left side after maybe 5 minutes. It sort of feels like a sort of dull tight squeeze if that makes sense. It doesn't stop upon coming inside and lasts for at least 10 minutes afterwards.

I also used to use an inhaler when I was younger for shortness of breath while exercising but I never got chest pain from just standing outside in hot weather for a few minutes. Should I possibly look into getting another inhaler? Or just getting checked out in general?
