Grueling Gauntlet + Horned Scarab of Awakening

So I've heard some talk that adding in a horned scarab of awakening onto a map with grueling gauntlet makes the rewards better. It was also mentioned some in Emiracle's recent grueling guantlet video. Is there any information on this? Adding a scarab that's about 180c at the time of writing this seems expensive without little information. I appreciate any and all insight, thanks!
