New request for fates mates/Bonds/mates (read most of the suggestions) but with specific requirements!!!! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Book Request πŸ“š

I suck at explaining what I want but bare with me please! πŸ™πŸ™

I'm looking for some elements that are the opposite of trendy right now, I think (if not, please don't shoot me). Because I'm not finding anything NEW in this category. And I don't mean there's nothing, just nothing new. I have read a lot throughout the years and the water is finally drying.

I'm a sucker for fated mates/bonds. I love the idea of two people being bonded romantically by the universe, the gods, the fates - call it what you will. But my number one reason for DNF books is the FMC's attitude. I can't stand a sassy, stubborn, pushing the mmc away (for not a good reason or for too long), being the key to the universe in an obvious way, saviour of the world, the "not like other girls", immature, "badass", or just emotionally unavailable which is basically her being a b*tch to everyone bc that's "strong". I could tolerate them before, but now it makes me irrationally angry. Like throw my Kindle mad. So naturally, I avoid those FMCs. I know this might be subjective to a certain point, so let me give a recent FMC that makes my eyes bleed non-stop: Wren from Silver Elite by Dani Francis. If you liked her, cool! But I hated her with passion. In that same bucket is Aurora from The Wolf King btw.

About the bond: I'm looking for books where the fated bond isn't treated by the FMC in particular as something that sucks or is a jail sentence. I understand getting used to the idea or adding angst/drama elements to these interactions, or the bond. I would understand a push from either of the MCs if there is a strong reason beyond "I don't want to be fated to anyone bc the fates chose it for me" in this particular genre. I mean, in a world where dating and kissing frogs until you find someone decent is a thing, fighting against a hot MMC that is literally meant for you for no good reason more than kissing frogs for funnies...defeats, for me, the purpose of the point in fated mates. (That's my opinion, don't kill me.)

Anyways, back to the request and less of my rant. I'm looking for fated mates/bonds/fated, which are either recent or VERY underhyped, almost hidden (since I have read hundreds at this point). Where there is some level of drama or angst (love it), since, of course needs to have something keep the interest alive, and where the FMC is not insufferable. Not necessarily a wallflower, or shy... which many people think is the alternative, but a FMC that is fun to read and you don't wanna kill or scream "DON'T BE AN IDIOT" or "DON'T BE TOO STUBBORN". I don't particularly like FMCs who think they are funny; usually, I don't find them funny.

I like weird plots, and if you are an avid reader probably can relate to the statement "not a lot can shock me anymore", so it's always nice to be surprised with new elements. But not a must, a common plot, well done with good characters, and writing is enough.

I like the MMC to make sense, if he is mean to the FMC, let the reason for it be valid, not a stupid reason to create a plot. And if there is bullying, the grovelling needs to be on par. This is a no-brainer, but you know...sometimes it is.

Conclusion:
- FMC that has brain cells, and it isn't sassy. Also, I would like to see a FMC that isn't so against the mate bond. Some push-pull is fine, but not out of the "I want to be free" idea.

- Angst/drama that is valid, not just bs for the sake of writing words in the book.

- Good writing please (not Wattpad quality). Slow burn is always a plus.

- I don't want too much smut. I like sex in books (so no YA), but I don't want it to be the whole plot. I want it to be a romance with sexual scenes as supporting scenes.

- Human-looking MMCs and FMCs.

- No single dads or moms (pregnancies and kids within the main couple, not past partners).

- RH welcomed (No MM or FF). No MM or FF. Only MF pairings.

- Anything taboo, sign me up. Even if you think it's illegal, share it! My moral compass is more black than gray nowadays.
