Options for Green/Brown pool?
Hi all. Electric switch to my pump broke last year, and due to other summer obligations, we decided not to open the pool. We also did not keep it covered due to mild winter and few leaves. That said, some ducks did decide to call it home, and over time, the pool has turned green/brown.
Initially, this was the year I was going to drain the whole thing and get a new liner, but after we finally got someone to fix the electric to the pump last week, I decided to attempt opening up. I shocked it with five bags and it’s still pretty green. I’ve been scooping out algae from pool bottom with the leaf net. At this point, my next step is to vacuum what’s left of algae to waste and attempt several more gallons of liquid shock. Anything else I’m missing? Trying to avoid draining it if possible. Thanks for the advice!
