How can I help my cat heal?

Hello everyone, I would like some advice. My older cat is limping on his left back leg and my guess is that he has artritis. But to be sure I'm taking him to the vet this week. What can I do to help my cat heal with medical medium tools and foods? On a budget? Anyone experienced with cats? Thank you 🙏❤️
