Poetic Dialogue: “You Had Me. But You Played Me.”
[Her Voice – cold, confident, dripping with control] You wanted love? Cute. I wanted power. And you handed it to me— wrapped in your softness, your midnight confessions, your need. You begged to be close. I gave you taste, not tenderness. Body heat— not soul. You looked at me like I was the moon. I saw you like a man crawling. Needy. Hungry. Too easy to hold. Too easy to hurt. You thought my lips were promises— they were weapons. And you? You were just… available. [His Voice – low, steady, aching with restraint] You confused my vulnerability for weakness. My craving for connection with desperation. You think I was crawling? No— I was reaching. With arms open. With a heart that didn’t hide behind ego. I didn’t want just your body. I wanted to feel seen in a world where men like me are told to just take… and never ache. I kissed you gently, and you rolled your eyes. I whispered, and you mocked my softness. I held you with reverence, and you smirked like you were doing me a favor. You used my desire to feed your dominance. Not because you wanted me— but because you wanted control. Because you loved how I needed, not how I loved. You played cold to keep me chasing. Said less so I’d give more. You turned love into a game. And made my warmth feel stupid. But here’s what you’ll never understand: It takes strength to stay tender. It takes courage to want more than flesh. And it takes a real man to say— I deserved more than to be consumed. [Her Voice – quieter now, but still distant] You were too much. Too emotional. Too available. [His Voice – soft, broken… healing] No. I was just enough— for someone ready to love without turning it into a war.
