Looking for Japanese Art style Fountain Pens
Hi all,
I have always enjoyed writing with a fountain pen, especially after I picked up my grandfathers 1973 parker fountain pen with all the original paperwork etc.. I also happen to love Japanese culture such as netsuke and traditional artwork.
I've just been looking on this sub and have seen pilot, sailor and platinum seem to be the big Japanese brands, but can I ask for search terms I can go and research where I can look at fountain pens with artwork for a budget up to £700, maybe £1k.
I intend to see ifmi can find pens in auction houses and maybe collect a few, but not sure what to look for, I've spotted the search terms maki-e and namiki, but are these styles of artwork on the pen or brands in themselves?
Thanks in advance, Tony
