[TNG] How to make good workplace- and character-focused sessions/adventures?

Help & Advice

My players are mostly TNG fans, and one of the aspects they really love about the show is how a good chunk of it is basically a workplace drama in space. Often that's the B-plot, but sometimes it becomes the A-plot. Think the first Barkley episode, where his issues with anxiety are central and the sci-fi mystery is the B-plot.

Basically, episodes where the main cast helps secondary characters (aka supporting characters in the game, or other NPCs), or other main cast members, grow in their job or as a person in general. STA 2e, being so character-driven, is excellent for this. The thing is... I'm not good at it as a GM. But I want to be! I'm not sure how to go about it, though. For most other mission types there's the excellent Mission Brief packs but there isn't really one that revolves around that workplace-focused content. I'd love to be able to run that every now and then, as my players are also having a bit of trouble getting used to how character-focused STA 2e is and this kind of content seems tailor-made to facilitate that.

So is anyone else regularly running sessions like this, or crafting adventures that revolve around this? If so I'd love to hear how you structure these things.
