Making voice memos for active learning and spaced recall?
So I’ve been looking for ways to study smarter, and also to optimize my time. One issue that I have is with not being able to see information again after reading a huge textbook, unless I either reread it or take written/typed notes (which seems to be onerous).
I’d like to start making voice memos as I read to keep track of important bits of information. This way, I can go back and listen to the audio later while I’m driving we’re doing chores or something. It also allows me to distill the important bits of information without having to go back and read the entire textbook. I guess it’s sort of a similar concept as taking written notes, but in an audio form that I can listen to later on the go.
Has anyone else done this? (I assume many of you have). Are there any good recording apps which would work particularly well? How did you organize and hit the recordings for ease of use and listening?
