Small windshield chips?

I've had my P2 for a couple weeks now, I got it CPO from a dealership and just now I was cleaning the windows and what I thought were small sap spots were actually tiny chips. I counted quite a few of them, I've only driven this on the highway maybe 3 times now.

Do these cars have soft windshields? I drove my last car for 10 years without a single chip which makes me wonder if I/the dealership missed these or they're just softer than a Honda's windshield. Any thoughts?
