Which laptop should I choose?

Hello. I am currently deciding whether to get an upgrade for my DSA laptop. Since my current laptop is crap and overheats with an abysmal battery life, I want to choose one that: has good battery life that will last, can run all the various learning software they're gonna download on it, can run games like minecraft and roblox smoothly without overheating too much.

Here are the choices within my budget:

HP 255 G9 (8GB) - this is the standard one they'll give me if I don't upgrade

MSI Modern 14 14" 14" Laptop Intel core i5-1335U (10 Core 3.4Ghz / 4.6Mhz), 16GB, 512GB SSD - I was thinking of this one but I read it can get hot around WASD keys. If this won't impact the battery life though, I'm ok with it.

I can also choose "15" & 17" Gaming & Creative PC Upgrades". If there is one that is better than the rest of these, please let me know so I can ask them about how much it would cost to upgrade to that. Ideally a 15".
