IT Help

this was my reply on a youtube video replying to  @LovingTechLife so pardon the extra's/links, im not writting a guide im just trying to figure out how to accomplish this goal, which has taken alot of research.

if i happened to miss any crucial info needed im sorry, it got overlooked.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

from what ive read it is because on bluetooth the ps4 controller actually has a dual channel connection 1.) button inputs, 2.) route the audio, there are guides explaining it can be done but dont give proper info that lines up with ds4 windows program, also ds4windows seems to register a dual bluetooth connection in controller propertys but windows 11 (basically win 10) wont come up with it as an audio device, which tells me there is a bridge between the 2 that is missing.

if an xbox controller can do it/ps4 controller on a playstation console... then it can be done in windows 10/11.... the realy questions is what can/has the capability written to make this same bridge but on windows 10/11.... it's possible bc consoles have the support lol just cant figure out the last piece.

short: just missing a bridge between bluetooth audio > win 10/11 audio manager... hmmmm (im just trying to get audio w/o mic support), seems like mcrosoft is purposfully hideing the function when detects a rival company product...

i love this a.i first couple lines response.... https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+force+windows+11+to+see+audio+output+for+playstation+controller+on+bluetooth&rlz=1C1ONGR_enUS1103US1103&oq=how+to+force+windows+11+to+see+audio+output+for+playstation+controller+on+bluetooth&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCTI1MjQxajBqN6gCCLACAfEFkRLhsljyJ4TxBZES4bJY8ieE&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

which ive experienced a few times myself so it seems like windows is setup to detect it, see's it then hides it from being used.... feels sleezy tactics of microsoft (just like them saying windows 10 last windows os.... heres win 11... really? which is ad'blasted start menu wont even search your drive w/o using startallback 3rd party software), (or them lieing about windows 7 gadgets, i still use them on windows 11 lmfao!! what security issue? more like quit lieing to your customers)

i have basically unlimited free-time on my hands so i do aloooot of research across alooot of random things.

i have done some intrsting complicated & weird things with audio before but that was with 3.5mm lines not through bluetooth lol, so this is kinda like trying to tame a different animal since bluetooth doesnt really give deep complex adjustability of functions/core data addressing in some cases.

this is not my first attempt to figure this niche out, this is more like my 7th lol over several years... if i knew c++ i could most likely write a program todo this quite easily.

if xbox uses xinput
if playstation uses direct input
but both use bluetooth which is not proprietary and audio is on a seperate channel, it shouldnt have to encode the audio stream through xinput or direct input but a seperate universal system... unless they litterally translated audio channels through the translator which would be dumb in the first place causing latency issues for 1 & 2nd that could interfere with the latency of controls while talking/receiving audio packets.

ahh.... this is new info: Finding a Compatible Dongle:
Look for dongles specifically marketed for PS4 or PS5 that support audio transmission and features like aptX Low Latency.

if my response's are far apart, it's bc i probly forgot to check back due to.... doing alot of things X'D
(just to say: at one point i had 6 pc's in a circle around me & still couldnt get enough processing power todo the things i was trying todo X'D even breaking up tasks between the systems with manual input, no network bridging a.i or programs, people toss pc's think there broken and i repurpose them for multi-tasking to the extreme, i was planning at one point to make a mini super cluster pc with $20 towers that easily stack at one point that was just before the multi-core pc's really hit the market hard)

DS4 Windows site:

List of gamepads that support audio input/output on PC
DualShock 4 (version 2 only) connected via USB
DualShock 4 connected via Sony’s USB wireless adapter <----«« hmmm (ill have to see about getting this and testing it)
DualSense connected via USB
Possibly DualShock 4 copy-cats via USB (rare situation, most don’t have any working audio functions when used on PC)

this may not be easy to find one X.X (it does list support for audio via 3.5mm over bluetooth!)

you specifically need a bluetooth dongle that will support aptx codec to support audio passthrough, otherwise the controller will utilize a standard bluetooth codec where it will not support audio passthrough over a bluetooth bridge.

Question: does anyone know of/tested a dongle that fully supports controller + audio over bluetooth bridge to a ps4 controller on windows 10/11? other then the out of stock/not manufactured sony product?
