Bose 901 modifications

This pair of 901s now have the 8” woofer and mid/tweeter set from a pair of Altec model 95. 901 cabinet is similar size/volume with porting. Donor speakers are rated 50-20,000 far wider response than a stock 901 with the inherent problems trying to get all frequencies from single drivers. These now work without the need for active EQ. Still have the awesome soundstage of 901 with real frequency response.
