Upgrade from 10850k build or just gpu

Hey all built this build in 2021 and its served me well. Originally bought a rx6800 but sold it. Long story. Although I am more of a fan of nvidia and I like ray tracing a lot. I game at 1920x1440 @ 75hz on a crt and also 1080p on my plasma but wouldn't mind using DLDSR to make games look better with an upgrade. I prefer these screens to oled. Games I'm looking to play are red dead 2, finish cyberpunk, control, metro exodus, elden ring. Problem with my current build is that I could never get the ram to run at 3600mhz even on this gigabyte board and it just runs at 2400mhz. Not a big fan of gigabyte after this experience,

Currently build is:
asus dual 1660 super
10850k + z490 aorus elite ac
1000w asus rog powersupply
16gb ddr4 @ 2400mhz

Should I just upgrade my 1660 super to something like a rtx 3070/3080+ or just save and do an overhaul. Most new titles don't really interest me besides DOOM Dark Ages. Also had a 2080ti which I was playing cyberpunk on but it died after heavily playing on it while oced with cyberpunk settings turned up lol (memory issue). Honestly I can see myself just being fine with a 3070 as even 60fps looks very smooth on a crt but there is noticeable flickering but not unplayable.
