In a LDR and communication is kind of scant. What to do?
I (22F) have been in a LDR with my boyfriend (M25) for about 3 months now. We met briefly in person before transitioning to long distance. My bf has always been kind of aloof independent. On our first date we went to a book store (his idea) and he kept walking away from to look at stuff. I haven't had much dating experience outside of him but it felt very weird. On the day he had to leave to another state for work, I half expected him to stop by and say bye to me. Instead, I got a text at night saying he was in another state.
In the beginning, we were calling each other everyday immediately after work, constantly video chatting. I see him in person since we went LDR, I go back home and things....kind of fall off. The calls become later and now he usually calls me when he's about to go to bed. We never text during the day anymore. In fact, we go days without texting each other. But he usually calls me every-night.
I visited him again in person last week. It was....weird. He paid for my ticket and even asked me to come over. But he was working pretty much the entire time. And when he did get home, he just sort of mindlessly scrolled through twitter and tiktok. We did eventually do stuff together. But a lot of it was him glued to his phone, just watching tiktok.
We haven't talked since the 4th, when I went back home. My anxiety is spiraling because my last relationship ended in me getting ghosted after I visited him. I called him yesterday and he didn't pick up. I read into a lot of things and I'm getting paranoid. He admits to being a bad texter so I don't bother anymore.
Is this normal in a relationship?
