Magic Bean Festival: A Concept

My husband and I have a campaign with just the two of us where he is the main DM and I am a semi co-DM.

We recently acquired a bag of 30 magic beans. Our brilliant idea to make use of the beans was to create a Magic Bean Festival in which we build a massive arena and plant the beans one at a time as a spectacle. Adventurers from around the continent are encouraged to come and join the festival to get the chance to be rewarded from the bean result.

In our campaign we are focused on having fun and enjoy creating characters and role play more than anything, and because it is a 2 person campaign, our lvl 5 characters are fairly busted, but in a fun and flavorful way. I’m a “Pokemon catcher” who befriends every NPC we come across and we now have an entire gang of peeps to help bring this festival to life.

We are following the Magic Bean 2 table found in 2nd edition to give us 100 unique events when rolling for the bean’s effect.

We are also introducing tailgating to this world which is a notable mention.

Has anyone else attempted something like this with magic beans, or even done a large scale festival? We’d appreciate any cool ideas to help inspire us!
