[UK] Is this normal?

I signed an offer with a bank and they started their background checks with a 3rd party. The 3rd party took around 3 weeks to complete the checks and submitted the report to the bank. It’s been a week the report was submitted to the bank but I haven’t heard back on anything. I reached out to the recruiter and she said she’ll “check with the team” and update me but no update yet…

There were some discrepancies noted by HireRight and I had provided sufficient info on them.

Is it normal for the vetting to take so long with such silence?
