OTF Class Step Count -> Apple Fitness

I have my OTF band linked to my Apple fitness app, and after my class my Fitness ring closes with my calories burned. However, my step count from OTF doesn't load. Has anyone figured out a way to get your OTF steps logged in the Apple Fitness App?
