AIO about boss asking me a personal question?

yesterday, I did not have the best day at work because the night before I had a very bad anxiety attack. At the end of my shift, im laughing with another coworker, my boss asked me “hey are you bipolar?”

although I am not bipolar, I told him that it was super offensive to ask somebody such a personal question, especially in front of customers and other coworkers. after I told him that it was offensive, he then began to explain to me that he asks people that question often and sometimes people just tell him yes, and that they don’t find it offensive. I think that he was just trying to find an excuse to assume that I have an attitude with him. him & i do not get along so I do my best to just say the bare minimum to him.

I just think that it was super inappropriate for him to ask me such a personal question then when I tell him about my anxiety, he said that he “didn’t want to hear that”
