Restaurants in Ville Marie and walkable areas?

:Tfl: Tourisme

Bonjour! We are so enjoying our time in Montreal and meeting the lovely people here. All the stereotypes about Canadians being super nice and helpful seem, from our experience so far, to be 100% true, btw.

We have a few more days left and are looking for restaurants/cafes within walking distance (2 km or less?) to the MOFA or our neighborhood of Ville Marie. We're up for anything, breakfast, lunch or dinner, any cuisine, but not the kind of fine dining that requires elegant clothes or mega bank accounts.

The one exception is please no more poutine! Yes, we tried it, and vive la difference and all that, but...sorry, once was definitely enough. I know lots of people don't get the appeal of scrapple or grits, etc, etc, either, and that's fair. No offense intended, believe me.

Thanks!
