NFL DFS "contest": The Annual Prediction Show & Season-Long Tracking

Strategy

This is our annual predictor show, which has a game show quality to it. Throughout the actual week of the interval season, we will go back at periodic points, especially the midway point, the beginning, and the end, to track how well our season-long predictions went. This is done with almost a fantasy allocation style point system, designed and expertly brainstormed and rolled up by Donnie.

The predictions are meant to be fun and have a shade of realism, as we do have valid beliefs and opinions on why this will be the season outcome. However, they follow a certain outline, assuming injuries or the development of a team that doesn't quite reach its potential. We are predicting that, of course, there will be one or two surprise teams, as there always are. This allows us to then go back at the end of the year and assign a game show-quality point system, which is allocated based on wins, division titles, and other factors.

The winner of the pool between the three of us then gets to choose the Mega Showdown Super Bowl Captain for our biggest client builder show on DraftKings, which is for the Super Bowl. So, it is a seasonal production for a season-long price, with just enough incentive to keep three motivated and competitive football fans at bay.
