I need someone to tell me I'm just crazy and it's a skill issue

I'm going insane.

I've been fighting regular Lusters for almost an hour because I'm trying to get the parry down.

I can do Perfect Dodges on all of their attacks all day without missing but somehow I can barely land 1 in 5 parries when they're doing their anime swordsman run attack. It just feels like it's different.

This is the only enemy I've had this happen with so I need someone to just tell me that this is all in my head and the timing is the same or else I'm gonna end up in an asylum.
