Church topic yesterday was idols

What do y’all think of idols?

I’m a roomie Christian, accepted Jesus Christ into my life about a year ago so come across topics all the time where I’m looking to know more about what others think as I’m forming my own thoughts.

The pastor brought up idols yesterday morning. Ones we see via TV, social media, politics, etc. and we were asked to write down idols in our life that we will stop worshipping so that we can fully worship the lord.

What do you consider an idol? Who are the idols you currently worship or stopped worshiping?

I’m a big music guy, I truly do admire and appreciate the art that some of my favorite artist put out… are the idols in my life? I love Michael Jordan and his story, some people call him basketball Jesus. Is he an idol?
