2010 Ceed Steering Knock (again!) ... advice on urgency of fix

I've got a 2010 Kia Ceed 1.4 petrol. I got this done at an independent garage and it resolved the issue. Just over two years on and the knock is starting to return. I'm planning to get it booked in again to have another replacement put in, but I'm just looking for some advice on the urgency. I need the car over the next few weeks (to do about 500 miles of driving) so I might not be able to get it done before that. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
