Unexpected money came through and want to pay gym membership but I'm worried I won't even go to the gym after a day or two

I randomly got some extra cash recently (like $900 that I wasn't expecting at all) and my first thought was "okay finally I can join that gym I've been eyeing."

But now I'm lowkey panicking because what if I waste it? I've been that person who gets a membership and goes twice then spends the rest of the year feeling guilty about the monthly charges.

I know I need to do something though. I've been stuck at the same weight for months just doing YouTube workouts in my living room and honestly it's getting old. Plus my apartment neighbors probably hate me for jumping around at 6am 😅

Anyone else dealt with gym anxiety? Like I know rationally that most people there are just doing their own thing but my brain keeps going "what if I look stupid on the machines"

Should I just bite the bullet and sign up? Or are there other ways to use this money for my health that might be smarter?
